Rose was tossed away at the Lancaster shelter in CA after being used as a bait dog (submissive dogs are used to test the aggression of other dogs). START raised money to get her the medical attention she needed and transport her to a new life with SHERIFFS RESCUE in B.C. Canada. ROSE (now called RUBY) lives with a school teacher and is part of the Reading For Rover Programat a local school where kids with learning disabilities read to dogs which helps the children gain confidence.
